Author's Biographical Sketch
T. Deloris Grover is a debut storyteller, holding a master’s degree in writing from the Johns Hopkins University. She studied narrative nonfiction, science writing, and fiction, including writing children’s books with author and illustrator, Scott Nash. An environmental consultant and technical writer, Grover also works as a weekend docent at the North Star Mining Museum in Grass Valley, California—a source of inspiration for her tales of historical fiction set in the Gold Rush days. Grover is sixth generation to Nevada County and has undocumented ties to Native American heritage, with official ancestry dating to 1849 and placer-mining prospectors. She is a member of the National Association of Science Writers and the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators. She currently resides in Nevada City, California, where she is working to complete her first children’s novel.
